Inquiry into the Catholic faith through the RCIA process will be starting after Labor Day. It’s not too early to start making plans. If you or anyone you know is interested in learning more about Catholicism or are even considering becoming initiated into the Catholic Church, please call the Parish Office and let us know.
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a process through which men and women are welcomed into the Catholic Church. It is a process of discerning and ritualizing stages of conversion leading to sacramental initiation at the Easter vigil. It is Father Vacca and the St. Jude parish members, by their witness, worship, service and teaching, who offer the support necessary for this initiation. It is open to all persons seeking to join the Church or wanting to learn more about the Catholic faith. A new class begins once each year after Labor Day and ends two weeks after Easter Sunday. Parishioners who want to be a helper, teacher or sponsor are always welcome.
