We are making progress with playing skills and singing skills in all classes.  These are the learning intentions and success criteria:

Learning Intention  

I can play an instrument and/or sing with correct technique and tone. 

Success Criteria— 7th & 8th:

I can sing in my proper range with correct pitches, rhythms and confidence in a small group, singing hymns, chants or honor choir music.  

Success Criteria—4th, 5th, 6th:

I can self-manage my recorder.  

I can follow listening procedures to learn music in a playback fashion.  

I can play the recorder on these pitches; B, A, G, E, D, and D’.   

Success Criteria—3rd:

I can play xylophones and glockenspiels, performing simple accompaniments to hymns, chants or folk songs. 

Success Criteria—2nd:  

I can successfully play a basic bordun with rhythmic interest and use two mallets to play left/right patterns.  

Success Criteria—1st:  

I can successfully play a basic bordun using two hands, or a scale pattern using both hands alternatively.  

Success Criteria—Kdgn: 

I can successfully play a scale or stepwise melody using one mallet with my dominant hand.
