8th grade Promotion Slideshow Reminder: 8th grade parents remember to provide the following:
Toddler, preschool or Kindergarten picture, First Communion picture, a picture of your choice, any
with your child’s name. If you have any questions please contact Daniela Rivas at the email above
or at 316-207-2781. Also, if you would like a copy of the slide show, please send a fresh drive to
the school in an envelope with my name on it.
Living Rosary: May 11 at 2:45 in the church.
Movie on the Lawn: May 11th @ 8:30pm, PTO is planning to show the movie COCO out on the
basketball court. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy some popcorn and lemonade watching a
movie under the stars! This is a free event with free lemonade and popcorn! We will also have a meal
deal of a hot dog, chips, and cookie for sale for $2. We look forward to seeing everyone there!
Library Books: Parents we are coming to the end of this school year and Mrs. Simpson would like to
let you know that all books are due to the library on Monday, May 14th. .
Retirement Reception for Mrs. Michot: We would like to congratulate Mrs. Kitty Michot on her retirement!
Kitty has served the diocese for over 30 years and St. Jude for 24 years in music ministry and teaching.
Kitty has touched innumerable lives and has been a blessing to our school and parish. A reception in her
honor will be held in St. Joseph's Hall at 6:00 on May 18. All are welcome. There will also be a card shower.
If you are not able to attend the reception, please consider sending a card to the school and we
will pass it on to her.
8th grade -Last Day of School: May 22nd will be 8th grader’s last day of school.
8th graders will come to school on May 23 at 8:00 for promotion practice but will dismissed at 9:00.
Please be back at 5:15 for pictures in the church.
All School Last Day of School: May 24th is field day and the last day of school for the rest of the school.
We will dismiss at 11 AM.
TOTUS TUUS: The end of the school year is fast approaching and summer planning is well underway.
What better way for your kids to spend a week of summer vacation than hanging out with friends and
growing in their faith? We invite all youth of the parish to join us June 24th – June 29th for a week of fun,

Athletic physicals for the 2018 – 2019 School Year: Wednesday, May 16, 2018 from 5:30 – 7:00 PM at
West Wichita Family Physicians Entrance B. 8200 W. Central. Cost is $20 each. All proceeds are donated
back to Bishop Carroll. All students planning on participating in any sport must have a physical dated
after May 1, 2018 on file before they can participate.

Summer Tennis Lessons: Darren Huslig, head tennis coach for the boy’s and girl’s Bishop Carroll
tennis teams, will be hosting two sessions of tennis lessons this summer for anyone interested
in learning a great lifelong sport. No experience is required. We will introduce and work to master
the various skills needed to play tennis at the beginner, intermediate and advanced levels.
Our focus will be on proper techniques on groundstrokes, volleys and serves as well as improve
game strategies for the more advanced players. Flyers with more info have been handed out to

Girls Basketball Camp: Girls Basketball Camp conducted by BCCH’s head Girls Basketball
Coach, Taylor Dugan, her assistant coaches, and past and current players. This is for all girls going
