Congratulations: We would like to congratulate our 5th grade who took 2nd place
and our 6th grade who took 1st place out of 11 teams at the Battle of the Books
this past Wednesday at St. Patrick (Wichita). We are very proud of you!
No School April 20: Teachers will be attending an in-service.
Parking Lot Safety: Please drive slowly in the parking lot, especially before and
after school. After school, some students take trash out to the dumpster so
please watch for them.
Pep Rally: Join us April 25 at 3:00 for a pep rally to celebrate Religion and Scholars Bowl,
Track, and Battle of the Books!
State Assessments: We have begun state assessments. Please check with your child’s
teacher to know days and times that your child will be tested. We are all excited to
show what we know!
First Communion Dress: A member of our parish has donated a girls size 5
(she said fits like a size 7) First Communion dress and also a veil to go with it.
If you are interested in it please stop by the office.
PTO Meeting TIME CHANGE: PTO will be meeting on May 2 at 12:00.
First Holy Communion: Our 2nd graders will be celebrating their First Holy Communion
on May 6th at 2pm.
Sports Banquet: All student athletes, religion and scholars bowl participants, Battle
of the Books participants, and Lego Mindstorm team members, and their families are
invited to the Sports Banquet on May 9 at 5:30. Pizza, drinks, and cake will be provided
by the athletic department.
Living Rosary: Join us for Living Rosary on May 11.
Library Books: Parents we are coming to the end of this school year and Mrs. Simpson
would like to let you know that all books are due to the library on Monday, May 14th.

uniform store on N Carriage Pkwy the third week of May. They will be announcing a

The Blue Crew Summer Book Adventures: Get kids away from the glowing screens and
out of the land of “I’m bored” with Blue Baboon Books’ summer day camps! Our Summer
adventures are designed to keep kids’ brains working. Adventures will include crafts,
storylines, games, songs, and snacks! Each camper will receive a free Blue Crew t-shirt!
Camps are $30 per session. Kids from 5 to 8 years old will attend from 9 a.m. to noon,
and kids from 8 to 12 years old will attend from 1 to 5 p.m. Learn more about our summer

Soccer Showcase:The soccer showcase will be held May 12 at Bishop Carroll.
There will be two divisions, one for boys and one for girls, and the divisions will be
a mix of 6, 7, and 8th grades. The deadline to signup is April 30th. There is a signup
All 8th graders and their parents are invited to attend the Purity Retreat on April 15. This year we are holding the retreat at the Spiritual Life Center. It will begin at 2:00, with parents invited to join at 4:00 for the parent portion and commitment ceremony.
City Arts is gearing up for an exciting week of creativity during Gallery Experience, a new spring break art camp. Throughout the week, youth ages 6-14 will create innovative and thought-provoking pieces of art. On the last day of camp, campers will work together to plan and hold a gallery exhibition of their work to friends and family. Enrollment is now open.
