The Parish Pastoral Council is the principal advisory body to the Pastor on issues affecting the parish. Meeting every other month, the Parish Council consists of representatives of each organization at St. Jude and representatives appointed by the Pastor. Through the Council all parish members can participate in the parish decisions. The Council encourages and enables all members of the parish to offer their talents in service to the parish and the wider community.

The Council has four major objectives:

  • To provide objective, informed, and consistent advice to the Pastor on parish issues.
  • To assess the needs of the parish and incorporate into the parish plan programs to satisfy those needs.
  • To foster a sense of community in the parish
  • To represent parish ministries and parish organizations in Council through its Commissions, to enhance communication among all leadership in the Parish.

To aid the pastor in the administration, planning, and safeguarding of the financial resources of the parish and its ministries in accord with church law and norms issued by the diocesan bishop. This includes the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports and budgets and also the implementation and maintenance of good internal accounting controls.

The mission of the St. Jude Respect Life Committee is to be a force in promoting the sanctity of human life. We do this by promoting traditional family values in our parish and community. We encourage all to Pray and Fast that our society will uphold the sacredness of life from the moment of conception until natural death.

St. Jude PTO is a traditional Parent-Teacher Organization. We believe that PTOl must work together in a spirit of harmony to promote, protect, and fulfill the mission of the school. We hope to foster cooperation between the school and parents by providing a network of volunteers, providing safe and educational activities throughout the year, and supporting the teachers with a few material needs in a manner consistent with stewardship. As a teacher, parent, or guardian of a child at St. Jude Catholic School you are automatically a member. We meet once a month and have many opportunities to get involved.
